Steven Bauman
Steven is one of ASG’s founding partners. He was raised and and has resided in the local Fort Walton Beach/Destin area since a very young age. His roots in the local community run deep as his ancestors were one of the early pioneering families of the local area.
He attended the University of South Alabama on an academic scholarship and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in 1981.
He then attended the Florida State University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate with High Honors in 1984. After graduating from law school, Steven returned to the local area where he commenced his career in the private practices of law. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1984 and practices in all state and federal trial & appellate courts throughout Florida.
He is also admitted to practice in the 11th U.S. Court of Appeals for the Circuit before whom he has argued several appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He served as president of the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association 1996-97 and Chairman of the Florida 1st Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission 1996-97.

In 2013, Steven was one of only 30 mediators statewide to be recognized as a Diplomat of mediation by The Florida Academy of Professional Mediators. He has also served as a court appointed and privately retained arbitrator and special master in many cases throughout Florida’s 1st Judicial Circuit.
