DeWitt Clark

DeWitt was born and raised in Fort Walton Beach and graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2014. He graduated from Samford University with a double major in Finance and Economics in 2011.

During law school DeWitt was named to the Dean's List, the Cumberland School of Law's Trial Board and the Judge James Edwin Horton American Inn of Court. He is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and Order of Omega honoraries.

He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and is a member of the Florida Bar. DeWitt currently serves as a Special Magistrate for Escambia County Environmental Code Enforcement where he adjudicates violations of Escambia County’s environmental and land development codes.

DeWitt has a broad-based civil litigation practice in all state and federal courts. His primary practice areas are real estate, business litigation, construction and lien litigation, mortgage and lien foreclosures, commercial banking and probate litigation. DeWitt has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for the years 2023 and 2024, a designation awarded to only 2.5% of all eligible attorneys.

DeWitt also handles real estate, corporate and business transactions, financing transactions, and shareholder disputes. DeWitt has handled over $350 million in real estate transactions since 2018. He represents property owners and developers in real property disputes and land use litigation, including permitting through various state, county, and municipal authorities.

DeWitt is a member of the All Sports Association and the Gulf Breeze Rotary.  DeWitt has served as President of the Booker T. Washington High School Quarterback Club Board for head coach Charlie Ward.
