Kyle Bauman

Kyle is a lifelong resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. His family is considered one of the area’s pioneers and they have consistently served the community for many years.

Kyle graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 2007 before attending Florida State University on an academic scholarship where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminology and Psychology. After graduating, Kyle choose to remain a Seminole, attending Florida State University College of Law.

While attending law school, Kyle served as Article Editor on Florida State University Law Review Volume 41 and was named Volume 41’s Outstanding Editor of The Year. After finishing a clerkship at the Executive Office of the Governor, Kyle was amongst an elite group of law students selected to participate in the Supreme Court of Florida’s Internship Program for Distinguished Florida Law Students. Kyle worked under the direction of Justice James E.C. Perry. He also excelled in his classes, earning Book Awards for the class’s highest grade in Civil Procedure, Evidence, and International Law. Kyle graduated in the top 4% of his class and Magna Cum Laude from the Law School in May, 2014. Due to his outstanding academic accomplishments, Kyle is a member of the exclusive Order of the Coif.

After law school, Kyle elected to return home and has worked for ASG since his admission to the Florida Bar in September, 2014. He now serves as the City Attorney for the City of Laurel Hill and, in December 2018, the Destin City Council named him City Attorney for the City of Destin. Kyle also serves as the pro bono legal counsel and Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, Inc. In addition to his busy local government practice and philanthropic efforts, Kyle maintains a general civil legal practice focusing in the areas of commercial and business law and litigation, creditor and debtor rights, real estate law, and appeals. Kyle’s appellate practice is particularly busy as he has already served as lead counsel in over 10 cases and argued orally before Florida’s First District Court of Appeal multiple times.
